It was so wonderful to see the class this short week. We had a great time catching up, writing about the New Year and taking winter break surveys that we will use to make pie charts. We also started learning about early English Settlements in America, primarily Jamestown and Plymouth.
We just started using an "interactive notebook" in Social Studies to help organize our notes. I've wanted to have one since the beginning of the year but couldn't find the perfect the resource. I finally found one over break! If your child has an unused composition book at home, they'll need to bring it in for this notebook.
The students turned in their book reports and presented them to the class. I must say, I was very impressed at the hard work the students put into their projects. Here are just a few examples. I'll post more in a separate post soon!
